Law firm establishes diversity scholarship

The inaugural Levenfeld Pearlstein Diversity Scholarship at the Chicago-Kent College of Law has been presented to first-year student Jessica E. Joshua, who has devoted three summers to biochemical and oncological  research projects at the University of Louisville School of Medicine.

In 2005, Joshua worked with the International Health Professionals Network to set up village clinics and compile medical histories of residents in Senegal, and she also volunteered with the Tippecanoe County prosecutor’s office while a student at Purdue University.

The Chicago law firm established the scholarship that is based on academic achievement, financial need, leadership ability, employment history, community service involvement and extracurricular activities.
