Rule proposals get review on Jan. 28

The Illinois Supreme Court Rules Committee will conduct its annual public hearing on Monday, Jan. 28, beginning at 10 a.m. in room C-500 at 160 N. LaSalle St., Chicago.

Proposal 05-09 (P.R. 0143): Creates new Rule 707 on permission for foreign attorneys to appear in isolated proceedings.

Proposal 06-04 (P.R. 0159): Amends Rule 90© on conduct of hearings.

Proposal 06-05 (P.R. 0151): Creates new Rules 570 to 581 with regard to municipal ordinance violations.

Proposal 06-07 (P.R. 0153): Amends Rule 341 on briefs.

Proposal 07-01 (P.R. 0156): Amends Rule 716 on limited admission of house counsel, and Rule 756 on registration and fees.

Proposal 07-02 (P.R. 0157): Amends Rule 239 on instructions.

Proposal 07-04 (P.R. 0159): Amends Rule 343 on times for filing and serving briefs.
