1983, the Illinois Bar Foundation created The Fellows program.
The Fellows are a special group of lawyers who have committed,
by direct payment or pledge over ten years, sums of money ranging
from $1,000 to $25,000 to accomplish two goals: (1) Build the
Foundation's endowment; and (2) Develop and fund its own projects
in furtherance of the Foundation's mission.
Fellows pledge payments are retained in a special fund of the Foundation, and
are used for making grants, subsistence gifts, and scholarships.
