This book updates, and is a companion to, the 1998 Illinois Handbook of Criminal Law Decisions. Still the essential criminal law research and reference tool, the original book and the SUPPLEMENT are written by State Appellate Defender Legal Director David Bergschneider. The original book comprises over 900 pages and hundreds of court decision summaries, arranged under specific topics and subtopics. Also included is a topical index to help you quickly find the case you need. The 2003 SUPPLEMENT adds several hundred new cases and begins where the 1998 Handbook leaves off.
