FastCLE offers programming in various formats
With the first MCLE reporting deadline approaching in less than six months, many ISBA members may be on the lookout for educational opportunities that fit their practice interests and provide needed hours.
In addition to live CLE seminars scheduled between now and the end of June, the ISBA is offering FastCLE in multiple electronic formats. Programs are available in audio CD, video CD-Rom, DVD, podcasts, and online on-demand streaming.
All programs include simple instructions for submitting questions to speakers, as required by MCLE rules, and for receiving certification.
Among FastCLE offerings is the entire third annual Solo and Small Firm Conference. In all, 25 programs containing more than 127 hours of CLE, including 42.75 hours of Professional MCLE, are available.
Bundled programs containing all four required hours of PMCLE can be purchased from FastCLE for only $99. Bundled package topics include Improving Your Practice Through Legal Technology; What You Need to Know About Electronic Document Handling; Covering the Bases: How to Manage Your Practice Responsibly; Hot Topics for the Baby Boomer, and Hot Topics for the Young Lawyer.
For the new lawyer who must meet the special 15-hour MCLE requirement in the first year after licensing, the ISBA offers Basic Skills: The New Attorney’s Introduction to the Effective Practice of Law. The program is specially priced for new lawyers but also can be a good refresher for more experienced lawyers.
ISBA members receive discounted Member Advantage pricing through FastCLE, just as they do with live Law Ed seminars. FastCLE is accessible through the Web site, http://www.isba.org/FastCLE, or by clicking on the FastCLE logo on the ISBA E-Clips daily e-mail.
