Mediation issues to be aired during Jan. 22 cable program

One of two ISBA cable television programs being broadcast this month, “Dispute Resolution: Is Mediation the Answer?” may be seen at 10 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 22, on Chicago Access Network channel 21.
Speakers are Benjamin S. Mackoff of Schiller, DuCanto & Fleck, retired chief judge of the Cook County Domestic Relations Division; Philip J. Mohr, deputy director of the Chicago Volunteer Legal Services Foundation, and Cook County Associate Judge Leonard Murray.
Aired on Tuesdays earlier in the month was the cable program, “Judging the Judges to Be: Choosing Candidates in the 2008 Elections.”
Panelists included John L. Nisivaco of Dolan & Nisivaco, chair of the ISBA Committee on Judicial Evaluations in Cook County and co-chair of the Alliance of Bar Foundations for Judicial Screening.
Others were Jessica Arong O’Brien, co-chair of the alliance and president-elect of the Asian American Bar Association, and Mark DuPont, representing the Lesbian and Gay Bar Association.
The moderator of both programs is Chicago attorney John T. Theis, chair of the ISBA Committee on Cable Television Programming.
